The Tusker car benefit scheme provides drivers the opportunity to save money, while driving a brand new car. Russell from FRP Advisory got an Mercedes EQC and has seen a massive difference in cost with his Tusker electric vehicle (EV) through the car benefit scheme compared to owning his previous Jaguar.
Russell previously owned an F-Type Jaguar which was expensive to maintain, with the cost of insurance and diesel being an added stress. He’d seen a few Mercedes EQC’s on the road which he liked the look of, so he took a test drive with Mercedes and ordered a stock car straight away from the Tusker website. Russell had found what he was looking for, and the Tusker stock cars allow drivers to have a much quicker delivery time, which was attractive to Russell.
The Tusker car scheme was a very affordable option for Russell when he compared the amounts for cars on the scheme, to owning his Jaguar. The Jaguar was costing him £680 a month in depreciation alone! Russell is a first-time EV driver so he had to get used to and learn about charging, range, etc. He’s been enjoying the range and was impressed with how far the car can go after his trip from Kent to Essex each day without stopping to charge. Russell has learnt to plan his charging points along the way as some public charging can be more expensive, this can be easily mapped out with ZapMap, one of Tusker’s partners. During the winter period, charging can be more frequent due to the added use of heating, but Russell told us there hasn’t been a major issue with this.
Russell is really enjoying his car and has had no issues with it. Tusker provides support too all our drivers whenever they need over the phone or email.
