Tusker supports local schools with computer donations

Tusker, the UK’s leading car benefit scheme provider, has kicked off 2022 in style by donating over 60 of its computers to three local primary schools.

The local schools to Tusker’s Watford head office, Malvern Way Primary School, Harvey Road Primary School and Little Green Primary School are all benefitting from the donation.

Tusker’s CEO Paul Gilshan commented, “In donating these computers to nearby schools, we are pleased to support of the education of our local children, but we are also helping the environment, through the re-use of technology that might otherwise end up in landfill.”

Technology lead at Little Green Primary School, Nick Flint stated “We are so grateful to Tusker for donating these devices. We plan to use them in a variety of ways: creating ‘learning pods’ around the school which children can use for additional learning activities; replacing the ageing computers in our staff study; and offering some to families that need some help. We are committed to using technology in our curriculum and this donation will create further opportunities for the children.”

Niolca Boichat, Headteacher at Harvey Road Primary School, added; “Due to the generosity of Tusker, children and staff at Harvey Road School will be benefiting from greater access to computer devices.”

As well as keeping up with their previous donations to food banks and Watford general hospital, these donations form a part of Tusker’s wider commitment to the environment as Tusker remains committed to giving back to supporting its local area infrastructure wherever possible.
