Due to current world affairs, we are seeing an impact currently to the delivery times of our cars on order mainly due to the semiconductor shortage but the saddening situation in the Ukraine is also having an effect on vehicle production. Please see below our updates which we’ll keep updated as and when we receive information from the manufacturers. If we are made aware of any significant delays, we’ll contact any affected drivers separately to inform them of the impact. To learn more about the global shortage please click here: The Global Microchip Shortage – how new cars have been affected
To keep up to date with the delivery time of your car, please visit the My Car page on our site (under ‘My Account’) which is automatically updated as soon as the dealers provide us with any updated lead times.
Audi
The supply of critical components from their suppliers is severely restricted due to the situation in Ukraine. The models more negatively impacted are: Q4 e-tron, A4 / A5, A6 / A7, TT and Q7 / Q8 – Audi expect delays in delivery times in all these models of several weeks, and we’ll reflect this as much as possible in our systems. Models less impacted are: in particular A1, A3, Q2, e-tron, Q5 and A8.
In general Audi will also be affected by limited availability of V6 TDI engines, all PHEV models, and different options based on semiconductor limitations.
Ford
Due to the ongoing impact of the global semiconductor crisis, Ford are also temporarily closing the S-MAX & Galaxy FHEV order bank so no more orders can be taken until further notice.
Jaguar Land Rover
Unfortunately, due to production changes and the ongoing geopolitical situation affecting component supply, there continues to be significant changes to production plans for Range Rover Sport orders. This is affecting the RR SPORT P440e 3.0P PHEV SE models. We are continuing to monitor this with JLR as keep us up to date with build times, and we will advise of any further changes to affected drivers.
MG
MG have informed us that the are seeing severe delays in some custom built options. Standard factory order lead times for all MG models are expected between 12-16 weeks, with the MG ZS being the only exception. We strongly advise customers to look at our Stock page for MG models that we have secured for faster delivery.
Tesla
Due to ongoing COVID lockdown restrictions in Shanghai, Tesla have now informed us that they are experiencing delays in production and shipment for all models. This has resulted in extended lead-times.
Volvo
Although Volvo do not source any parts from the Ukraine or Russia, their logistics may be affected by finding alternative routes to transport certain models and therefore will impact the time taken to enter the UK.
Volkswagen Group (VW, Audi, SEAT, Cupra, Skoda)
There is some disruption to their supply chain from suppliers based in Ukraine. Their purchasing teams are working with maximum effort to find alternative supply lines for the critical components now in short supply.
