What to do if you break down in a Tusker car

As Tusker’s cars are brand new, the chance of a breakdown is rare, but; if one does occur, it’s great to know that we have you covered.

Thanks to Tusker’s breakdown support, you can feel confident that help is just a phone call away. If you have broken down somewhere dangerous such as motorway or a busy road, call the emergency services. Remember to get yourself and any passengers out of the car and to a place of safety while you wait for help.

Once you are safe, our roadside assistance service is here to provide you with the help you need. In the event of a breakdown, simply call the driverline and you’ll be put through to our partners at the RAC who will take some information about your car and the issue you’re experiencing. They’ll then ensure you receive the best possible support as quickly as possible.

We will aim to get you back on the road promptly. If the problem can’t be fixed on the spot, your car will be transported to one of our network of garages, where a qualified mechanic will carry out the necessary repairs. All of this is covered by your Tusker agreement, so there usually won’t be any charges for the recovery or repairs.

If your car can’t be repaired on the spot, our partners can arrange for you to be taken to your onward destination. Tusker may be able to arrange for a car to keep you on the road. If you would like a replacement car, please let the patrol officer know at this time. Please note this is a temporary vehicle and so we cannot always guarantee a like-for-like replacement or that one will be available from the garage, but we will always try to get you mobile again as quickly as possible.

For those traveling abroad, it’s important to have roadside assistance coverage outside of the UK. Tusker’s policy covers you should you breakdown in Europe as long as you have the correct documents. Simply give the driverline a call and we can arrange those document for you.
